Today our MLPS elementary students had a pretty special afternoon! They were treated to a special skit performed by MLPS Administrators. This skit emphasized how reading can take your mind on so many different adventures.
Students then got to visit tables with a selection of age appropriate books. Each student took a book of their choice back to their classroom where they claimed it as their own by writing their name in it.
These books were made possible by the Remick Foundation and Big Bend Wind Farm.

Yesterday (11/11/25), our elementary students honored the brave men and women who have served our country with a heartfelt Veterans Day program. ❤️🤍💙
Our Student Council led the ceremony, and the 6th grade class beautifully sang patriotic songs. Student Council presented the flags of each branch of the military. We were also honored to welcome guest speaker Jessica Niss Barnett, who shared an inspiring message about service and sacrifice.
Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, dedication, and sacrifice. We are forever grateful! 🇺🇸👏
