ECFE

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a Community Education program for parents and their prekindergarten children, ages birth to through five (not yet in kindergarten).

For children ECFE is a great opportunity to meet other kids, practice social skill, be creative, and have fun learning. For parents, ECFE is a chance to spend time with your child in a fun atmosphere, as well as a great opportunity to meet other parents and exchange ideas. 

Each week centers around a theme. In the first half of the class, children and parents have an opportunity to work together on a variety of activities, including art projects, learning activities, circle time and more. In the second half of class, parents separate to have discussion time on a variety of parenting topics with a Parent Educator. 

• Two or more sessions of weekly classes 

• Children’s circle time with books, songs, fingerplays and rhymes 

• Parent learning and discussion topics are selected with parent input and interest 

• Time to build support and friendships with other parents 

• Classes and play times that are led by qualified staff 

• Special events including, Kick-Off, Gym Nights, Muffins with the Bunny, and more 

• Field Trips 

• Small class fees 

• ECFE Newsletter - at least twice a year
